Raising the bar in Risk Management

4 November 2020

12.00 - 1.00 pm

The latest update on the successes and challenges of implementing the Risk Coalitions guidance and it’s progress towards raising the bar in Risk Management

Those of you who attended last year’s iiag conference In Brighton will remember Hanif Barma’s session on “Raising the Bar in Risk Management”.  The Risk Coalition’s work has concluded and their guidance document was formally published last December.  The FCA commented at the time:

“We welcome the Risk Coalition’s initiative to raise standards in risk oversight in UK financial services.  Their approach and guidance complements the personal accountability we regard as an important regulatory objective.  It is important that SMF role holders do not simply adhere to the guidance as a box-ticking exercise, but also reflect on how to ensure adequate regulatory outcomes.”

We are delighted to welcome Hanif back to lead the third in this series of iiag webinars.  Hanif will give us an update on the successes and challenges of implementing the Risk Coalition’s guidance and its progress towards raising the bar in risk management, along with his insights on Internal Audit’s ongoing contribution to these developments.

This will be an interactive session, allowing you to post questions in the chat window and interact with the speakers.

If you would like to join us please book your place via this link.

Dates for subsequent webinars will be:

  • 18 November
  • 2 December
  • 16 December

All webinars will be timed from 12 - 1pm
