Quarterly Seminar 21 June 2024

21 June 2024

9.30 am - 1.30 pm

Join us at the second Quarterly Seminar of 2024 to network with industry colleagues and hear speakers discuss DORA and Operational Resilience, the FCA's new greenwashing rule and getting ahead of the curve with AI. Post event all attendees will be entitled to claim up to 3 hours CPD.

Join us at the second of the IIAG’s 2024 seminars to meet and network with colleagues and industry peers, and hear presentations covering:

  • DORA and Operational Resilience
    • Esther Hitch, Director, BDO

Cyber attacks have been dominating the risk landscape for organisations around the world for years. Critical sectors to our society, such as finance, are increasingly dependent on technology making these sectors vulnerable to serious disruptions if technology risks are not mitigated sufficiently. Operational resilience needs to be a key focus for your organisation.

  • FCA’s new anti-greenwashing rule (AGR)– what does it mean and how to comply?
    • Adam Sollieux, Director, Financial Services Advisory, BDO

Adam will discuss the introduction and implementation of the AGR, summarise the requirements, issues and challenges it presents. Adam will consider what should firms have done to date and to ensure on-going compliance with specific consideration for how IA functions should audit and provide assurance in respect to AGR compliance.

  • Getting ahead of the curve with AI
    • Will Heffernan, Director of Field Technical Services UKCIMCON Software

Will's presentation will consider how companies can manage the issues arising from using AI/ML, including “Generative AI” as it becomes more popular in the insurers and banks globally. With tools such as ChatGPT and CoPilot now being made available to end users, and more software vendors adding some AI/ML capability into their products, what should users think about when considering the risk from these tools.

The Seminar will begin with registration and refreshments at 9.30am, will include a mid-morning coffee break with refreshments, and finish with a buffet lunch at 1:00pm.

Attendance is £75 per head and payment is via bank transfer.

Full booking terms and conditions are available in the Knowledge section of the website under Governance and Policies. Any cancellations made within 7 days of the event will not be entitled to a refund and if it has not already been paid, the outstanding fee will still be due.

On this occasion we are offering attendees the opportunity to purchase an IIAG A5 notebook, with black cover, at a very reasonable price of £5. Payment can be made in cash (on the day) or order and pay in advance via bank transfer. Contact administrator@iiag.org.uk to pre-order.
